ABAC Tift Area
Upward Bound
Program
The Upward Bound Program prepares students to successfully
pursue a post-secondary education. Through support and targeted
instruction, the program works to increase the number of
participants who enroll in, and graduate from, institutions of
post-secondary education. The ABAC Tift-Area Upward Bound Program
will serve 60 high school students from Atkinson, Ben-Hill and
Worth County High Schools.
Upward Bound Program services include instruction in:
- Math
- Science
- English Composition
- Literature
Eligibility
Students who would be the first in their families to attend
college, those from low-income households, and/or students with
special needs are eligible to apply. Upward Bound is a federally
funded program: all services to students are free.

- Educational and career counseling

To apply for admission into ABAC's Upward Bound Program, simply
call the Upward Bound office at 229-391-5150 and request an
