Bio and Education
I graduated high school in 2001 from Coffee High, and after that I received my AA from Oxford College of Emory University and my BA from Columbia University. I recently completed my thirteenth year as a teacher, during the last eleven of which I have been primarily an English teacher. I began as a Georgia TAPP teacher at Howard Middle School in Macon, GA. After a year-and-a-half teaching there, I had begun to understand just how much of teaching is actually community building, and so my wife and I moved from Macon, where we had no family, back to Douglas, GA, which is my hometown.
There at Coffee High, I taught everything from remedial study skills classes to AP classes. Within English, I have experience teaching World Literature, British Literature, AP Literature, Mythology, and Speech Forensics classes. Last year, at the urging of a good friend who works in the system, I moved down to Atkinson County. I am very happy that I did because of how strong the community and leadership is here at ACHS.
I have two children, David and Julie, who moved with me down to Atkinson and currently are students at PES. We are all very happy to be here, and we look forward to what the weeks and years to come have to hold for us. God bless you all!

Me gradué de la escuela secundaria en 2001 en Coffee High, y luego recibí mi AA del Oxford College de la Universidad Emory y mi licenciatura de la Universidad de Columbia. Recientemente completé mi decimotercer año como profesora, durante los últimos once de los cuales he sido principalmente profesora de inglés. Comencé como maestra de TAPP de Georgia en la escuela secundaria Howard en Macon, GA. Después de un año y medio enseñando allí, comencé a comprender hasta qué punto la enseñanza es en realidad construcción de comunidad, por lo que mi esposa y yo nos mudamos de Macon, donde no teníamos familia, de regreso a Douglas, GA, que es mi ciudad natal.
Allí, en Coffee High, enseñé de todo, desde clases de recuperación de habilidades de estudio hasta clases AP. Dentro del inglés, tengo experiencia impartiendo clases de literatura mundial, literatura británica, literatura AP, mitología y habla forense. El año pasado, a instancias de un buen amigo que trabaja en el sistema, me mudé al condado de Atkinson. Estoy muy feliz de haberlo hecho por lo fuertes que son la comunidad y el liderazgo aquí en ACHS.
Tengo dos hijos, David y Julie, que se mudaron conmigo a Atkinson y actualmente son estudiantes de PES. Estamos todos muy felices de estar aquí y esperamos con ansias lo que nos depararán las semanas y los años venideros. ¡Dios los bendiga a todos!
