ABAC Tift Area

Upward Bound Program

The Upward Bound Program prepares students to successfully pursue a post-secondary education. Through support and targeted instruction, the program works to increase the number of participants who enroll in, and graduate from, institutions of post-secondary education. The ABAC Tift-Area Upward Bound Program will serve 60 high school students from Atkinson, Ben-Hill and Worth County High Schools. 

Upward Bound Program services include instruction in:

Math
Science
English Composition
Literature
Eligibility

 

Students who would be the first in their families to attend college, those from low-income households, and/or students with special needs are eligible to apply. Upward Bound is a federally funded program: all services to students are free.

How to Apply:

To apply for admission into ABAC's Upward Bound Program, simply call the Upward Bound office at 229-391-5150 and request an application. OR you can talk to your Janice Williams, Atkinson County High School site coordinator about admission into the program at 912-422-3267.
